Wednesday. Using old carsprings this course focuses on forging the basic bowl turning hook tools on a hand cranked charcoal forge. You will come away with a fully finished tool ready to use.
 This course will cover forging techniques as well as  annealing, hardening and tempering.
 It is suitable for absolute beginners. 
 
Thursday. This course will look at how to create the more complicated shapes on the Anvil that are used  in making turned items such as locking lid boxes and end grain cup turning. 
 You will complete at least one tool over the day. 
 Previous blacksmithing experience or having attended my beginners course is needed.
