CHAIR MAKING
On this course you will be guided through the process of cleaving fresh green Ash felled in our own woodland, and using it to make all the components of the chair. We will use traditional hand tools to shape and finish the components, steam bend them over the fire, and use the natural properties of green wood to create beautiful solid joints to hold the chair together without the need for nails or glue. Seats can be woven from either Danish chord or locally sourced Wych Elm bark.
Please note: There is an additional cost of £15 for bark seating material.
